F-ILO

Agenda Item

The Futuristic International Labour Organization (F-ILO) is a forward-looking simulation of the ILO, a specialized UN agency originally founded in 1919 to promote social justice and labor rights. In this futuristic setting, delegates explore the evolving world of work in the face of rapid technological, environmental, and societal change. From the impact of automation and artificial intelligence to the future of remote work, climate-induced displacement, and shifting global labor markets, F-ILO challenges participants to create innovative and inclusive labor policies. Upholding the ILO’s tripartite model — involving governments, employers, and workers — the committee focuses on ensuring decent work, fair conditions, and equality in a fast-changing world.

Rebuilding Global Labour Systems After the Third World War: Ensuring Universal Worker Protections

In this committee, delegates will navigate the transformed world of 2071—shaped by World War III, mass migration, and rapid technological evolution. Refugees, AI units, bio-enhanced and traditional workers all coexist in fragile economies. The reformed ILO now sets labor standards across Earth, virtual worlds, and off-world colonies. Delegates must redefine “work” and “worker,” ensuring justice and dignity for every form of labor in this post-war, post-digital age.
